If You Didn’t Think I Was Serious

Well if you thought my talk about going back to school was just a half attempt to figure things out due to the pandemic and that I wasn’t serious about the work and what it would take to do it. I have spent the last few days going through my collectibles, finding what I can sell to help pay for my tuition. I already made my first payment and I have three more to make for my first semester back.

This has not been easy for me as I love my game-used jersey collection, featuring major league and minor league baseball teams from throughout the country but mostly consisting of New York Yankees jerseys. I decided to help pay for my first two semesters of part-time schooling I was going to part with at least half of my personal collection. To that end, I spent the last couple of days listing the jerseys on eBay. A couple has already sold but if you are interested in any feel free to take a look here.

This is not replacing the GoFundMe that I had set up to help raise the money to pay for my first full-time year back in school. That is still going, and I want to thank those who already donated. My hope is to return to school full-time for the 2021-2022 school year and taking part-time 1-2 classes in the Fall 2020, Spring 2021, and Summer 2021 semesters. I know if I jump into school full-time right away is not going to set me up for success, I need to ease myself into the academic world once again.

In the meantime, while I wait for my official start of school on August 26 I will continue to prepare. I am working in math workbooks, reading what I can, and watching any relevant videos to help get me ready. Should be a fun time when I take my class. It works out easy for me this semester as my class will be completely online due to the pandemic. This way I don’t have to worry about being the old guy in class and can just focus on the work.
